Alicia, a six-year-old girl, has faced unimaginable challenges in her young life. After the tragic loss of her mother, Alicia was left vulnerable and in danger, as her father, who is homeless and struggling with severe drug addiction, previously forced her to beg on the streets. Thankfully, Alicia’s aunt has stepped in to provide her with the love, care, and stability she needs. However, to ensure Alicia’s continued safety and well-being, her aunt must legally obtain custody.

The legal process for securing guardianship is both complex and costly, with total expenses amounting to MUR 50,000. Despite efforts to obtain pro bono assistance, these funds are urgently needed to file the necessary affidavits and initiate court proceedings.
