The Sunflower Charitable Foundation is excited to announce a transformative workshop led by renowned expert Dr. Thierry Maillard, taking place on 9th September 2025. This event is part of our ongoing commitment to lifelong learning and community empowerment.

Dr. Maillard has graciously accepted our invitation to travel all the way from La Réunion to share his knowledge with our community. To make this event possible, we are reaching out to you to help us cover the essential costs involved.

OBJECTIFS

  • Increase awareness of how prenatal alcohol exposure affects fetal development.

  • Dispel myths and provide evidence-based information about alcohol use and pregnancy.

  • Promote prevention by encouraging alcohol-free pregnancies.

  • Equip participants—especially educators, childcare workers, and healthcare professionals—with the knowledge and tools to support affected children and families.

  • Foster community advocacy to reduce stigma and support early intervention and long-term care for individuals living with FAS
