Cité La Cure est une région qui connaît des taux de pauvreté élevés. La région doit faire face aux répercussions économiques et sociales provoquées par la pandémie, mettant en lumière l’importance de renforcer l’autonomisation économique des femmes.
L’objectif est ensuite de travailler avec les hôtels mauriciens pour trouver et offrir des emplois à ces femmes et, ainsi, les insérer positivement sur le marché du travail. Les femmes sont surreprésentées dans l’économie informelle. La détresse financière et le besoin de concilier travail et obligations familiales sont difficiles.
Le centre offrira des formations professionnelles ainsi qu’un suivi thérapeutique pour les soutenir psychologiquement.
Elles pourront suivre des cours de « life skills », de relations clientèles, de « grooming », ainsi que des formations pour la création de savons organiques et produits de beauté, d’alphabétisation, de yoga, de méditation en pleine conscience, d’ateliers créatifs, de pâtisserie et, enfin, elles participeront à la création d’un potager solidaire et d’un poulailler afin de créer des ressources pour le village.
Nous avons envie de donner de l’ambition, de la motivation et le goût de l’effort aux habitants du village de Cité La Cure. Tout ce que le centre apportera sera basé sur un système de troc ou de donation d’une roupie symbolique en échange.
Par exemple, à chaque fin de mois les Les objets et vêtements récoltés seront recyclés et revendus à un prix dérisoire et non gratuitement. L’argent sera une contribution pour payer nos frais fixes et les fournitures pour les différentes formations. Nous aimerions que ceux qui participent aux cours donnent en retour de leur temps pour du bénévolat vis-à-vis de la fondation comme le nettoyage des lieux, le tri des poubelles, faire des sondages dans le village et s’occuper du maintien des lieux.
Le projet a commencé il y a maintenant 1 mois grâce au financement personnel de la créatrice du projet, à la participation et main d’œuvre des habitants du village afin de préparer les fondations et travailler la terre, aux dons et récupérations de meubles, et de quelques sponsors (Résiglas, Velogic, Décathlon & Axess).
Aujourd’hui, ce projet a besoin d’un coup de pouce pour démarrer.
Les dons collecter serviront à :
– payer le salaire mensuel d’un travailleur social à plein temps et de 3 autres à mi-temps
– payer le salaire pour 2 psychologues en moyenne, une fois la semaine
– acheter des produits pour la création d’un potager solidaire
– acheter du ciment, rocksand et financer la main d’œuvre nécessaire pour le pavement de l’espace
– payer les travaux reliés au septic tank et au réservoir d’eau
– payer des cours de formation et le matériel nécessaire pour la fabrication de savons organiques
– Former 2 animateurs en alphabétisation et donner des cours d’alphabétisation
– payer des cours de pâtisserie ainsi que le matériel nécessaire pour ceux-ci
– Construire une structure en métal afin de pouvoir couvrir l’espace commun, qui se trouve en plein soleil, avec de la tôle.
– Aménager une boutique solidaire pour le village
Cité La Cure is a region with high poverty rates. The region faces the economic and social repercussions of the pandemic, highlighting the importance of strengthening the economic empowerment of women.
The objective is then to work with the Mauritian hotels to find and offer jobs to these women and, thus, to insert them positively in the labour market. Women are overrepresented in the informal economy. Financial distress and the need to balance work and family obligations are difficult.
The centre will offer professional training as well as therapeutic follow-up to support them psychologically.
They will be able to follow courses in « life skills », customer relations, « grooming », as well as training for the creation of organic soaps and beauty products, literacy, yoga, mindfulness meditation, creative workshops, pastry making and, finally, they will participate in the creation of a solidarity vegetable garden and a henhouse in order to create resources for the village.
We want to give ambition, motivation and a taste for effort to the inhabitants of the village of Cité La Cure. Everything the centre brings will be based on a system of bartering or giving a symbolic rupee in exchange.
For example, at the end of each month the items and clothing collected will be recycled and resold at a ridiculous price and not free of charge. The money will be a contribution to pay our fixed costs and supplies for the various trainings. We would like those who participate in the courses to give back their time for volunteer work with the foundation such as cleaning the premises, sorting the trash, doing surveys in the village and taking care of the maintenance of the premises.
The project started 1 month ago now thanks to the personal funding of the creator of the project, the participation and labour of the inhabitants of the village to prepare the foundations and work the land, the donations and recoveries of furniture, and from some sponsors (Résiglas, Velogic, Décathlon & Axess).
Today, this project needs a boost to get started.
The donations collected will be used to:
– pay the monthly salary of a full-time social worker and 3 part-time social workers
– pay the salary for 2 psychologists on average, once a week
– buy products for the creation of a solidarity vegetable garden
– buy cement, rock sand and finance the necessary labour for the paving of the space
– pay for work related to the septic tank and the water tank
– pay for training courses and the necessary material for the manufacture of organic soaps
– Train 2 literacy facilitators and give literacy lessons
– pay for pastry courses as well as the necessary material for them
– Build a metal structure in order to be able to cover the common space, which is in direct sunlight, with sheet metal.
– Set up a solidarity shop for the village
