Gilbert Sadoo, 38 years of age, resident of Rivière des Créoles:
« I am an active trail runner of Rando Trail et Nature since 2013. Since some years I have been performing at a very good level by winning some podiums and races and finishing among the top 10 runners in our local league.

Additionally I have initiated some youngsters of Rivière des Créoles to trail-running since the beginning of last year. The aim behind this move is primarily to help them discover the beauty of this exceptional sport and at the same time stay away from the uprising society’s ills for which i feel very concerned.

We are a group of 5 for now and are known as the Southern Lions. We are actively inviting other young lads to join us. I help the youngsters by providing them with coaching advices during our regular training sessions and other facilities such as transport to attend their races among others. We have participated in various races last year, and have been on the podium on several occasions. We have started 2022 on a high with 2 of the juniors finishing 1st and 2nd junior as well as 2nd and 12th scratch respectively for the 1st race of the season.

We constantly work towards improving our performances and aim at embarking in new challenges for this year. As such, we are presently looking for a sponsor who is willing to donate in order to assist the essential expenses associated with trail running and running in general. If providing sponsorship to promising athletes is an option to your establishment, I believe that a partnership with one of the biggest company in the region would be a mutually beneficial relationship.

We believe that with such a helping hand, we can have a very competitive and sensational season. »
